Kayla se toma su tiempo y avanza pacientemente hasta que acorrala contra la malla y derriba en su primer intento. La doble campeona olímpica presiona desde media guardia y luego se incorpora para azotar desde el stand up, con Peña en el suelo. En un momento Julianna descarga dos patadas ilegales al rostro de Kayla y el árbitro frena el combate y le quita un punto a la campeona.

Round 2

Kayla presiona con golpes. Recibe un 1-1 con potencia pero logra avanzar hacia la reja y anotarse un nuevo derribo tras una llave al cuerpo. Harrison evade un intento de llave de brazo, azota con ground and pound e intenta un triángulo de brazo... ¡ahora va por la kimura! ¡Y lo logra! ¡Kayla Harrison es campeona de peso gallo!
