When and why did you start training for fighting? I’ve been training martial arts now for 20 years, but I got into MMA in 2010 because I wanted to compete and test myself in real fights.
What professional titles have you held? Fury FC Lightweight Champion
Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? 1x IBJJF Black Belt Adult NoGi Dallas Open Champion (Middleweight)
Any belts/ranks in grappling disciplines? Black Belt BJJ
What has been your toughest fight to date and why? No fights really come to mind as being the toughest, although they are all tough in their own right.
Who is your favorite fighter and why? My favorite fighter is GSP because he embodied a true martial artist and champion. I also love his fight style and the tactics he used in the cage.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No, I knew I wanted to do martial arts for a living from pretty young.
What was your job before you started fighting? Personal trainer
Personal life/background: My wife and I have a baby girl and two dogs. I run Marathon MMA full time and am a full time MMA coach as well. We love to spend our free time going on adventures outside or spending time in our backyard.
