UFC Fight Night (2/28/26) Montenegro makes her UFC debut against Ernesta Kareckaitė

Dana White's Contender Series, Season 9

Episode 7 (9/23/25) Montenegro lost a three round split decision to Jeisla Chaves

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started when I was 15 years old to lose weight, and because I come from a family of athletes.

What professional titles have you held? I’m the only professional MMA fighter from my state, Córdoba, Argentina.

Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? Athlete of the Year from the Córdoba Confederation and amateur kickboxing champion

Any belts/ranks in grappling disciplines? Blue Belt in BJJ

Any belts/ranks in striking disciplines? Brown Belt in Kickboxing

What has been your toughest fight to date and why? Anyela Pérez. I came out of the fight very injured, and had to change all my strategies.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Among women, for her style and precision, Valentina “The Bullet.” In every other way, I’m motivated by Esteban Ribovics, my teammate for many years and a standout Argentine fighter currently in the UFC.

Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? My dad. He taught me how to be a true athlete and to always believe in myself.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, I am a teacher (primary school teacher).

What was your job before you started fighting? I was a boxing and kickboxing teacher, I sold food, and worked as a waitress at schools.

Origin of nickname (The Witch): When I was doing kickboxing, during some sparring with teammates, I said that everyone was going to wake up with a spell on their heads.

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? I want to help my family, give us the life we deserve, and open doors so more people from my country have the opportunity to step onto the UFC canvas.

Personal Life / Background (family stuff, kids, etc): From an athletic family (my dad was a professional soccer player). I had weight issues, suffered bullying, trained hockey and swimming, lived in a lower-middle-class neighborhood, and my dream is to take my family forward.

I don’t have a partner or children. I left my entire family, my pets, and all my loved ones in my country to live in Mexico and move forward. I like listening to music, spending time with friends, and learning new things. I like motorcycles, soccer, and cuarteto music.

Who are 3 people you'd love to meet or work with (celebrities, content creators, other fighters, sports stars)? Bad Bunny, Messi and Jon Jones

What are your hobbies, activities or other interests when not training for a fight? Reading, listening to music, and riding motorcycles.
