When and why did you start training for fighting? When I was kid, Because I didn’t want to get my ass get kicked in the streets of Dagestan. 

What professional titles have you held? Master of sports of Russia in 4 different types of martial arts. 

Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? Five-time world champion, champion of the Olympic Games in the demonstration discipline in Beijing in 2008. Combat Games Champion. World Games Champion. Multiple-time Russian champion. 

Any belts/ ranks in grappling disciplines? Purple belt in BJJ 

Any belts/ ranks in striking disciplines? 5th Dan in Wushu 

What has been your toughest fight to date and why? I think the most difficult and intense fight was against Nicolas Dalby. These were three very good rounds with mutual successes. Dalby had a good game plan that he followed well.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Two higher education degrees

What was your job before you started fighting? Fighting was always my job.

Personal Life / Background: Married with three children. I love football (soccer); I love to play myself and watch matches of big teams.
