When and why did you start training for fighting? I was 12 years old when I started, and I loved the glory of beating someone in one-on-one competition.

What ranks and titles have you held? Two-time amateur champ, undefeated in kickboxing, State champion wrestler

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Frankie Edgar. He was always a big underdog and I loved his style as a kid. Also a humble hometown guy.

Do you have any heroes? My brother Shane / Military Operator

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means the world to me, and to that 12-year-old kid who dreamed of it. A lot of sacrifice and dedication.

Ranks in any martial arts styles: Black belt in BJJ. New England ranked wrestler in HS

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? Azat Maksum UFC 321. I overcame so much in that fight, I feel like a completely different fighter/competitor. Also was huge in growing my faith.

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? Glorifying God with my performances and growing a life through fighting in his image.

Favorite grappling technique: Guillotine

Favorite Striking technique: Left body kick / right hand

Tell us about your life outside of fighting. I have a olde English bulldog Charlie, he’s my guy. I’m a big foodie but in camp I keep things pretty tight. I love to game in camp and off camp, also a superhero nerd.
