When and why did you start training for fighting? I started when I was 15 years old; I thought I was born for this sport, and that I can achieve great things.

What ranks and titles have you held? Inka FC flyweight champ

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career?  The most important one was my Contender Series fight, because it was the door to entering the UFC, and it was against a tough opponent.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Ilia Topuria and Dustin Poirier.

Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? Jesus Christ is my only hero.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means I’ve reached one of my goals, and that I’ll be able to take care of my family – it’s a step closer to my ultimate goal of being UFC champion.

Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? Yes. I want to use my platform to inspire young people who come from humble neighborhoods, like I do. I want to show that with discipline, consistency, and faith, dreams really can come true. A lot of times your environment tells you that you can’t make it, but I want to be proof that you can go far through hard work.

Beyond a championship and money, what motivates you? My family. I want money to stop being a problem. I want to support them — that’s why I do this.

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked in a pastry shop.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition: Titan War FC champion.

Specific accomplishments in professional competition: Inka FC flyweight champ.

Favorite grappling technique: Rear naked choke

Favorite striking technique: Overhand right

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: I’m very much a homebody. I live in an apartment where I spend a lot of time playing video games and listening to music.

What is one thing you want UFC Fans to know about you? I want them to know that behind the fighter there’s a person who has faced fears, doubts, and difficult moments — but chose not to give up. If my journey can inspire someone to believe in themselves a little more, then I’m doing something right.
