When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training for my health and suddenly I saw myself doing very well and was encouraged by my instructors to pursue a career, so I made martial arts my life.

What professional titles have you held? Shooto Brazil Champion

Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? No

Any belts/ranks in grappling disciplines? Jiu-Jitsu purple belt

Any belts/ranks in striking disciplines? Muay Thai black belt

What has been your toughest fight to date and why? My toughest fight was my debut at Shooto, I was very nervous because it was my first televised fight and my eye was hurt from an illegal blow. I thought I was going to be blinded but I was able to finish the fight with a lot of willpower, so, to me, that was the toughest fight of my career.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Ilia Topuria because he’s got a firm game, he goes in there to do what needs to be done and executes it.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I started college for a Physical Education degree but I dropped out to dedicate myself to martial arts.

What was your job before you started fighting? I’ve worked as a waiter, management assistant, food delivery. I now work as a martial arts instructor.

Personal Life / Background: I’m single, my mother’s family lives in Maceio and my father lives with my brothers in Recife. I live alone in Rio de Janeiro.

What are your hobbies, activities or other interests when not training for a fight? I like to read the Bible, I go to church, I like to play video games, I watch Anime, walk my dog, ride my longboard skateboard, and go on hikes on trails with friends.
