When and why did you start training for fighting? I had a troubled upbringing and wanted to take care of my sisters and mom. I started training martial arts, wrestling and MMA in my teens. Coaches said I was exceptional at fight sports and I found myself working at El Niño training center.

Any belts/ranks in grappling disciplines? Purple Belt BJJ

What has been your toughest fight to date and why? My toughest fight to date was my Contender Series fight against Emrah Sonmez. It was nonstop wrestling at a high pace. I also went into that fight having dealt with food poisoning.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? I do not pay much attention to other fighters as I am very much focused on myself.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? CSU Eastbay, currently finishing up a construction management degree.

What was your job before you started fighting? Construction worker/supervisor

Personal life/background: I was born in Cebu, Philippines and raised in the Bay Area since I was six.
