When and why did you start training for fighting? My eyes were burning when I came to the gym and I really liked the training process. I traveled and performed a lot in classical boxing, but then I got to know mixed martial arts better and wanted to do it. I have always seen myself in the professional sports arena. I started my MMA career in July 2019.
Training: The morning starts with a delicious coffee or green tea, a good breakfast, a walk with the dog. Next comes the first training session and then in the evening, the second training session. Walk with the dog, an evening meeting with friends or stay at home watching a movie or sometimes reading a book.
What ranks and titles have you held? Pankration World Champion (2019), bronze medalist of the European K-1 Championship
Do you have any heroes? I am very sympathetic to Dmitry Bivol, a Russian boxer. There are a lot of people I like, but I can't really single out anyone.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? This is a huge step in my career. I have been striving for this all the time, and now my dream has come true. I'm happy.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? 1) P.F. Lesgaft National State University 2) Medical college - studied for one year and took a sabbatical.
What was your job before you started fighting? I practiced classical boxing and lived an ordinary life.
