When and why did you start training for fighting? In 2018 I started doing MMA for myself. When I noticed I was good, I decided to do it professionally. At that point I didn't even consider ever making it to the UFC. I knew it was the dream of many of my training partners. But in the end, by the Will of God, I ended up here.
What professional titles have you held? Championship Russian MMA
Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? I have had many accomplishments and wins with Chechen Republic MMA
What has been your toughest fight to date and why? My first fight in America. after a three-year layoff. I was disappointed I did not finish him in the first as I had finished all my previous opponents.
Who is your favorite fighter and why? Jon Jones, I like his style, he is the best of all time, but I am going to be better.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I did not go to college
What was your job before you started fighting? I was a general laborer in Chechnya, when I moved to America I worked as food delivery man and a furniture loader.
Origin of nickname: When I started winning by KOs that is what I was called. You will see why they call me "Hunter"
Personal Life / Background: I have three brothers and one sister. My older brother and I moved here to pursue our UFC dreams. The rest of the family stayed home. I originally moved to LA and got married two months later. Now I am a father to two children, a boy and a girl.
Who are 3 people you’d love to meet or work with? I would like to train with Jon Jones and Topuria. I also want to meet and speak with Dana White and Khabib.
What are your hobbies, activities or other interests when not training for a fight? I like to play football; my brother and I play UFC and FIFA on Playstation. I also like to walk around Florida and travel.
