Invicta FC releases entire card for next UFCFIGHTPASS.com event

Following yesterday’s breaking news on the UFC Minute, Invicta Fighting Championships has released the entire card for Invicta FC 9, which takes place at the RiverCenter in Davenport, Iowa, on November 1. The entire event will stream live – and on-demand – on UFCFIGHTPASS.com.

In the main event, Invicta flyweight champion and Iowa’s own Barb Honchak will make the second defense of her 125-pound title as she collides with former Strikeforce bantamweight challenger Takayo Hashi.

Honchak captured Invicta gold at Invicta FC 5 in April 2013 by dominating Brazil’s Vanessa Porto. The 35-year-old extended is unbeaten in her last eight and is considered on the top five pound-for-pound females in the sport. She is coming off big win over current UFC fighter Leslie Smith in last December.

Hashi, one of Japan’s best fighter, will be making her Invicta FC debut. The 36-year-old is unbeaten in her last three fights, and has already won two championships in her MMA career. The chance at Invicta gold represents the biggest opportunity of this well-rounded veteran’s career.

The co-main event will feature the Invicta return of Japanese strawweight Mizuki Inoue, who collides with the undefeated Karolina Kowalkiewicz. Hot prospect Inoue beat The Ultimate Fighter cast member Bec Rawlings last July and takes on another fighter tipped for the top in Kowalkiewicz.
