Friday Fight Update

The spring of 2016 is on track to be one of the most memorable in recent years when it comes to the action in the Octagon, and with the addition of three more exciting matchups for upcoming events, that statement gets more accurate every day.

On May 8, the UFC visits the Netherlands for the first time, and in a clash of flyweight standouts, Ireland’s Neil Seery looks to make it four wins in his last five bouts when he battles former world title challenger and the current sixth-ranked contender, Kyoji Horiguchi of Japan.

Six days later, it will be UFC 198 in Curitiba, Brazil, and the judges may not be needed when bantamweight sluggers John “Hands of Stone” Lineker and Rob Font collide in what should be an explosive 135-pound clash.

Also made official this week is a lightweight battle between South Korea’s “Maestro” Dong Hyun Kim and Mexico’s Marco Polo Reyes which will take place at The Forum in Inglewood, California, the site of UFC 199 on June 4.
