UFC 109 fighters' party food suggestions

Between UFC 109: RELENTLESS and the Super Bowl, this weekend is no time to party like a rock star -- it's time to party like a sports fanatic who serves snacks like a champ.

To help you with all your weekend hosting responsibilities, we asked the men fighting at UFC 109 for their suggestions on what to serve your guests. Menu suggestions from Mike Swick, Dan Miller, Demian Maia and more.

Between UFC 109: RELENTLESS and the Super Bowl, the weekend of Feb. 6 is no time to party like a rock star -- it's time to party like a sports fanatic who serves snacks like a champ.

To help you with all your weekend hosting responsibilities, we asked the men fighting at UFC 109 for their suggestions on what to serve your guests. Try these out (or go with a good old Octagon cake), let us know what's good, and then email us at party@ufc.com to tell us what you made at your UFC 109 viewing party. We'll feature the best suggestions on ufc.com.

MIKE SWICK

My favorite party food is a layered dip consisting of refried beans, guacamole, and cheese. I eat it with Wheat Thins. When I have a fight coming up, I have to take out the cheese. For this fight, I will actually be in the cage and this dip won't be accessible. Everyone please eat this tasty dish for me while I entertain you with punches in bunches!

DEMIAN MAIA

I like to go real simple and have an Açai bowl when I watch fights, kinda like having an ice cream the Brazilian way. And when I’m in the US, I need my Chipotle bowl fix. It’s not on my diet, but I can’t help it!

DAN MILLER

Pizza, hot dogs, and root beer.

FRANK TRIGG

Make a Trigg-tini: Take a martini glass, mash potatoes in the bottom, top with ground beef, cheese, a dab of sour cream and chives. It's an easy way to feed your guests and make them feel special at the same time.

JUSTIN BUCCHOLZ

Just some pizzas -- I like to keep it simple.

RONYS TORRES

Whatever someone has at their party, I'll eat without any problem. I'm a Manacapuru native -- I eat and drink everything.

ROB EMERSON

Barbecue short ribs, a lot of cheeses and crackers, and Coronas.

BRIAN STANN

"There's got to be cold Bud Light, whiskey, chicken wings, pizza, and you can get your protein from the burgers and the hot dogs. I'd have some whole wheat buns or something so I eat at least a little bit healthy. No white-collar crap like shrimp and hors d'oeuvres or champagne. There isn't going to be any cheese and crackers if you know what I'm sayin'. This is America, so we're going for cheap food that tastes good and you can feed the masses. Caveat: I'd only serve this if I wasn't preparing for a fight."

TIM HAGUE

Pizza! Unfortunately I don't get to enjoy it much while training. At three weeks till fight day, I was 18 lbs over at -- I already know what my post fight meal will be.
