It will feel like a return to The Ultimate Fighter for TUF 21 alums Hayder Hassan and Vicente Luque, as they meet on December 19 in their backyard of south Florida for a UFC Fight Night welterweight bout at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
The two previously met on TUF 21, engaging in a memorable three-round bout won by American Top Team's Hassan via split decision over the Blackzilians' Luque. Both fighters went on to compete on the season finale card in Las Vegas on July 12, Hassan being submitted by Kamaru Usman while dropped a three-round decision to Michael Graves. On December 19, one of these 170-prospects will leave the Octagon with his first UFC win.
In the FOX-televised card’s main event, Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone challenges for a UFC title for the first time when he battles lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos in a highly anticipated rematch, and in the co-feature, former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos battles Alistair Overeem.
