Green replaces Trujillo at UFC 216

With Abel Trujillo forced to withdraw from UFC 216 on Oct. 7, lightweight veteran Bobby "King" Green as agreed to step in and face Lando Vannata at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC 216 airs live on Pay-Per-View. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, Aug. 31.

Winner of eight of his last 11 bouts, Green is a former Strikeforce standout who has won four UFC fights over Jacob Volkmann, James Krause, Pat Healy and Josh Thomson. In his most recent bout in April, the Californian lost a split decision to Rashid Magomedov, but he can crash back into the win column this fall when he faces exciting rising star Vannata, who has won post-fight bonuses in all three of his UFC fights against Tony Ferguson, John Makdessi and David Teymur.
