The UFC Fight Night event in San Diego on July 15 got a change Wednesday, as South Korean slugger Doo Ho Choi has withdrawn from his bout against Sam Sicilia due to injury, with Arizona veteran Yaotzin Meza stepping in to face the former Ultimate Fighter 15 cast member at the Valley View Casino Center.
Fight Night San Diego, which is headlined by the heavyweight bout between Frank Mir and Todd Duffee, will air live on FOX Sports 1.
Fresh from a successful return to featherweight in April that saw him defeat Damian Stasiak in April, Meza will look to make it two straight against Sicilia, who knocked out Akira Corassani in the first round in his most recent bout in January.
