Biografía

TRAINING: A typical day of training for me is three training sessions a day for six days of the week. I usually get my strength and conditioning in before noon. Then I have a mitt session or drill wrestling in the afternoon. Then I do technique BJJ and striking at night. In order to keep my body healthy and recovering I regularly go to massage therapy, cryotherapy, or a chiropractor during the daytime in between workouts.

When and why did you start training for fighting? With high school wrestling experience, I started training in jiu-jitsu after my college football career was completed. Jiu-jitsu led me to practice Thai kickboxing, and I had my first MMA fight shortly after training, and I knew that’s what I wanted to do.

What ranks and titles have you held? None

Do you have any heroes? None

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? A dream come true. I always excelled in sports from a young age and always told people that I would be a professional athlete. Now I’ve made it.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes - I played football at the Air Force Academy in Colorado and finished kinesiology degree from UW Milwaukee.

What was your job before you started fighting? Bartender
