When and why did you start training for fighting? When I was 23 years old, I was working for a company, but I wanted to start some sport. What ranks and titles have you held? The 3rd world bantamweight champion of Shooto. Do you have any heroes? Caol Uno. What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s a grand sum as a martial artist. Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, I was majoring in international agricultural development. What was your job before you started fighting? I was working as a sales and marketing man in a food company. Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? I won the Kanto tournament in high school and I was 5th in the college championship.
