Biografía
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started out as an amateur boxer, around 2004 when I was 16 years old. I learned Muay Thai & had amateur fights also. After some time, I became a part of the Wushu Philippine team (the Wushu that's just like
Kickboxing, not the one that involves swords). I then learned MMA and started fighting in
URCC. Around 2013, I joined PXC until I became the flyweight champion on January 16, 2016. I became a fighter because it was my only way of earning money and helping my family. After winning so many times, I realized that I can make a career out of it and become one of the best, most successful and most inspirational fighters in the world.
What ranks and titles have you held? PXC Flyweight Champion (January 16, 2016)
PBF Interim Super Bantamweight Champion (July 9, 2016)
Do you have any heroes? No
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is my dream to be in the UFC - my ultimate dream.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No
What was your job before you started fighting? I was a trainer in a boxing gym.Favorite grappling technique: Single leg
• Pro since 2011
• Two wins by KO, two by submission (2 guillotine)
• Has won five of his last seven
• Three first round finishes
• Origin of nickname – From manager - “The reason for this ring name is that every opponent he faces, he beats. Every opponent he faces and beats cannot recover right away and usually they cannot go back to their original condition (e.g. when his previous opponents get knocked out by him, they usually have broken jaw or face, making them not fight for a long time). Just like buildings when they are demolished, they cannot go back to their original state anymore. Hence, the name "The Demolition Man."
