Biografía

When and why did you start training for fighting?  I started training kickboxing at the age of 16 after seeing some of the famous Dutch kickboxers such as Ernesto Hoost and Rob Kaman. I got interested in MMA and jiu-jitsu after seeing Royce Gracie win the first few UFC events.  I started training with Rickson Gracie eight years ago.

What ranks and titles have you held? Finalist K-1 Scandinavia, Blue Belt in Rickson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

Do you have any heroes?  Ernesto Hoost, Rickson Gracie

What is your favorite technique? Americana Armlock (key lock, bent armlock)

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC?  I think the UFC is the future of sports and MMA and I am very happy to be a part of it.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, I graduated with a degree in business management.

What was your job before you started fighting? Kickboxing instructor.
