Tom DeBlassTRAINING: A typical day of training may be boxing with Coach Mark Henry, wrestling with Coach Matt Pletcher, then Jiu Jitsu and MMA with my team. Between these days I alternate strength and conditioning/cardio as well.
When and why did you start training for fighting? A decade ago What ranks and titles have you held? Pan American Jiu-Jitsu Champion. No Gi World champion. Abu Dhabi Trial Champion. American National Jiu-Jitsu Champion. Ring of Combat Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion. Do you have any heroes? Jesus, my Mom and Dad, my whole team What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means the world to me. Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Bachelors in education and special education. What was your job before you started fighting? School teacher and owner of Ocean County Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (current) Ranks in any martial arts styles: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Ricardo Almeida. Favorite grappling technique: anything to finish. Favorite Striking technique: hard punches
