ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: Boxing

WHAT WOULD BECOMING A UFC FIGHTER MEAN TO YOU: To me, becoming a UFC fighter is just the beginning. It's definitely something I've worked my entire life towards, but I won't be satisfied until I get that UFC gold.

MINI-BIO: I was born in The Bronx, NY. I grew up in poverty, and everything I've ever had I've worked my ass off to get. I started boxing at the age of five and had an amateur record of 142-8. I then moved on to MMA accidently. At the age of 15, I appeared at an MMA event in which my cousin was fighting. Two guys failed to make weight and my cousin suggested to the promoter that my brother and I would take the fight on five hours’ notice. We both won by KO and that night I fell in love with the freedom I felt in MMA.

• Three wins by KO, five by submission (2 RNC, 2 guillotine, triangle)

• Five first round finishes

• Won eight of last nine

• Had 3-2-1 pro boxing record
