Biografía

When and why did you start training for fighting? I wrestled in college until a dislocated shoulder forced me to reconsider my ambitions in that sport. I tried to find a different way to balance the stress of work and school, so I signed up for jiu-jitsu at AKA, and eventually started fighting. Now I just hope to make enough to pay for law school...

What ranks and titles have you held? No MMA titles. I've won some grappling/ jiu-jitsu tournaments such as The Gracie Open and US Open Jiu-Jitsu.

Do you have any heroes? None

What is your favorite technique? Anything that ends the fight soon

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Finally! It's about time I made it to the big show. I'm tired of watching my teammates on TV.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? San Jose State University, BA Philosophy; McGeorge School of Law, Juris Doctor

What was your job before you started fighting? I've done everything from being a front desk clerk, trainer, a bouncer, and a network engineer.
